No more fiddling with spreadsheets and print outs at the gym. This app calculates the weights you should use, based on your one rep max, for the 3-week Smolov Jr. and 13-week Full Smolov Squat protocols. The app also makes it easy to keep track of where you are in the cycle.

This Russian squat cycle has also been used by many for other lifts such as the bench press, shoulder press and deadlift with big jumps in strength. Smolov isnt for new lifters, but if you have some experience under your belt (like with 5/3/1, starting strength, 20 squat, etc.), then this may be a great lifting protocol for you.

however, it should work with kg as well. i only do have 1.25kg plates, so I put 2.5kg @ increment, yet, it increases to sums I can not put onto the bar like 89, 87 etc. also more explanation on the functions would be great. why isnt there an option for feedback
Anyone looking to up there numbers with some hard work, this app is most definitely for you! Helps you keep track of your sets and makes you have massive gains

Some bad moments

I have been searching for a convenient way to calculate my smolov weights and this fits the bill perfectly. Super easy to use. Great app!
This app takes the guesswork it of running the full Smolov or Smolov Jr. cycles. You just plug in your max, and the increment you want to increase by on the second week, and it calculates the weights for the entire program. Simple to use and understand. And you can check the box marked Done after you finish the day. Honestly, anything that makes Smolov a little easier is a good thing...Trust Me!
Got this app to help with Smolov and wanted to round my weights to the nearest 5 lb increment, but it doesnt work. Also wish there was more functionality with each lift/set (like a place to take notes and the ability to change the weight if I have to modify). The only thing you can do is check off the set, saying that you did it. It would also be nice to know what the percentages are supposed to be and not just the weight based on your 1 rep max. Overall disappointed with this app. I didnt end up using it.
At least include all of the features from the mobile site in the app. No schedule other than day 1, day 2, etc. No percentage breakdown. For more information, the app tells you to go to the website. There is no reason to download this app.
The app looks good, but thats about it. A generic app for Smolov does a better job than this one, and it isnt even that spectacular. Weeks 2 and 3 dont even list, nor take into account the additional weight to be added to each days % amount. Fix it. Overall, a pretty week attempt.
Love the app but just letting you know the update wiped out my current session. Fail.
